Dame Ellen MacArthur (Birmingham 2008) with Roger promoting hydrogen powered ‘swift boats’ as a sustainable transport medium in appropriate congested inner city areas. Being developed by Birmingham University following a chance meeting between Roger and Professor Rex Harris of the University in 2004. It develops Rogers vision of modern ‘Swift Boats’ carrying freight and passengers on our canal system another stage further forward.
